Toddler

Preparing children for kindergarten and success in life is done by cultivating abilities and sparking interest and passion for learning in children. Here are a few fun ideas for toddlers:

Brain Development Fun!

Play “sink and float” with cork, plastic car, golf ball and water. Have the toddler pick items to put in the water. Talk to the toddler about if he/she thinks each item will sink or float, then discuss what happens. This teaches toddlers to create and test a hypothesis.

Social Emotional
Development Fun!

Play freeze dance with the toddler by playing music and telling him/her to stop moving when the music stops. This teaches toddlers to interact with others and to control their body.

Physical
Development Fun!

Set-up an obstacle course. Include a variety of movements such as crawling, running, jumping and throwing to encourage the use of different muscle groups.
